Lots of work happening throughout the Engineering shop this week. Many students from all grade levels continued working in the machine shop. Most were finishing off their Turner Cubes. Sophomore Aaron BenDaniel turned teacher this week helping fellow classmates Ben Wirz and Will Tseng brush up on their milling skills. Additionally, sophomore Tanzerul Azam learned how to program the conversational input on the Tormach machines.
We also received a visit from recent graduates Myles Youngblood and Dylan Smith. Myles was helping to troubleshoot the waterjet, and both wanted to chat about their futures.
The robotics team, Sunk Robotics, was back in full swing as well this week, with the team meeting in our classroom during 6th period. As most of the team is in the shop, they decided to take some shop time to plan for the new improvements to the rover.
We also saw some old projects getting some much needed love, with Junior Shubh Patel fixing and improving the 2D plotter, while Senior Clark Barayuga spent time upgrading his stoplight project from last year.
A lot is going on each day, we thank everybody for their support of the Robotics & Engineering shop. Photos below of the work last week.
