This week in the Robotics and Engineering shop we are in a transition period, as many of the sophomores have finished their LED Acrylic signs and are working on our Electronics and Programming guide to prepare for the Sumo Bot project which will be introduced after the February break. Yep, February break is upon us already, and we will be on vacation the week of 2/18-2/22.
Senior student Wede Desir started his Co-op this week working for Plexim at their Cambridge office. Plexim is an electrical engineering software firm, and we are excited to have one of our students working with them and building his resume with this company. Co-op students spend their shop time every other week working for a company. They gain valuable experience in real world working situations, and they get paid for their work. We will have a student spotlight soon and learn more about exactly what Wede is doing during his time with Plexim.
Our Sophomores have been building personal websites, which is part of our class curriculum. The website are a way for them to showcase their work, and will hopefully be used throughout their time in high school and beyond.
