We are getting very close to the end of the year, and especially close to the last day of class for our Seniors. That’s good news for Thiago, as he recently completed his Bubble Speaker. He has put a lot of effort into this project, but it was definitely worth the wait. Check out the video of it below, it’s a very technically difficult project. Great job, Thiago!
Another Senior, Nate, has made gains in his final project, a zoetrope with walking elephants. Nate has focused on getting precision timing down for his strobe light, using a reed switch triggered by a magnet on the turn table. The video below is a test run, and he is very close to the final version. Hoping to post more soon.
That’s some good progress for this week. We should have some more updates on our Tetris Rig after the weekend, and hopefully some video to show it operating.
Our Freshmen have been learning to create technical drawings this week, which leads into a brief CAD introduction. They will then be modeling canoes for their canoe project, which will hopefully take to the water on June 1st!
Sophomore are continuing with the Sumobot project, there will be more photos of their work in next week’s post.
