This is Mr. Christy. We are asking you to complete one code challenge and one CAD challenge each week during your Coronavacation. The challenge requirements will be distributed every Monday and you will submit your completed projects by Friday.
The code challenges will be developed using Processing (or specifically a Javascript variation of processing called J5) which is a programming language initially developed for artists. It is closely related to C and was the inspiration for the Arduino based programming environment.

Code Challenge #1 | Week of March 23 – March 27
Your first challenge is to write a program in J5 that does this or something equally or more creative. DON’T look at the code unless you absolutely need a hint. You should be able to do this after following the instructions listed below.
Getting Started
1. Check out the cool things you do with processing here.
2. Create an account here.
3. Change your initial sketch so that it draws a rectangle instead of a circle. You can find
a language reference here.
4. Send me a link to your work by Friday. Note that most of what you learned from C, as in for loops, variables, conditionals will all work in this environment and will use the same syntax.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Mr. Christy
