Welcome back everybody! We had our first full (nearly) week of school and it sure was a scorcher. No A/C in the shop made for some uncomfortable conditions, but our students powered through and got the year going on a good note despite mother nature. This year we are at capacity, with 34 students in the shop – 8 Seniors, 12 Juniors, and 14 Sophomores. We are in the process of updating the shop to add additional computer stations, and are waiting for Electrical to install new power and internet cables so we can add 4 new workstations. Hopefully, we can get this work completed soon than later and have more space and technology for everybody to use.
It was a busy week, so only a few photos to share below. You can see Theo Miller ’26 waving to the camera with the other sophomores in our classroom space. Sacha Silvia ’25, along with several other students, built their own custom fans to beat the heat during the week. Lastly, Scott Campbell ’25 works at a soldering table, which were updated over the summer break to be free of the clutter of wires that ran rampant previously. Please check out our shop photo album each week, which can be found on our website or at this link here.
